Hypothetical Viewpoints

Hypothetical scenario; someone becomes the new President of the United States and they have an opportunity to inflict some violence by shooting missiles at a country which would result in many casualties, but would also end many severe conflicts. Would they do it? Most people would say yes if it meant benefiting themselves, while others have a different point of view. This social justice paper will be offering a different perspective on violence and how there could possibly be an alternative. Countless innocent people are impacted by unnecessary violence and the outcomes of it ; fortunately, organizations such as Alternatives To Violence are attempting to make a difference by providing many different hypothetical situations and how to avoid violence. Not only is the shooter held somewhat responsible, the gun stores should be more at fault due to the lack of mental background checks for the unstable. An example of unstable shootings is the Florida school shooting. The Florida school shooting happened on February 14, 2018. A 19 year old teen named Nikolas Cruz, who was expelled from school has mental issues and has been recommended to go to mental institutions because of it, and yet this teen was able to get their hands on a rifle and shoot up the school. The question now is, how could this have been avoided? Well heated debates have suggested that action should be taken. some say guns should be removed from harm's way while others disagree completely and argue that we need guns for self-defense. An alternative that could please both parties could be by regulating who can get a gun and to have a very thorough background search before being allowed to purchase a gun.
