Hypotherma Water Abuse

Improved Essays
Coming up with a topic that all three of us could agree on was supper hard because we all had different projects pictured in our minds. Nathan suggested child abuse but Nicholas and I do not find abuse interesting so that idea goes down the drain. I think about hypothermia/blanket for homeless people. As a month of planning, proposals, and meetings in the trash because the weather was no longer hot so we wanted to change the topic to something people need every single day of their lives. An idea I pushed for was water because you will survive one water longer than food for many reason. For example, water is made up of 50-75% of your body which needs to be cleansed with the water you drink. The other group members took five minutes to think …show more content…
Later that day we find out who our advisor is (Coach Book). When Ms. Turner told me Coach Book was our adviser I was bittersweet because he is a P.E. teacher, but he has a degree which requires writing. Another reason why I felt this way is because this was his first time ever being an advisor, which means we are his test subject. Our first meeting was very productive because we made a topic for our project to be centered around(water) and began thinking about some ideas for planning. Our second meeting blew the first meeting out the water because Nathan wrote a proposal, Nicholas began to think about board temples, and I did all of the planning and approved by an advisor and group members. My plan was to make a breakfast sale to make a donation to a homeless shelter low on water. Then we had to find a homeless shelter low on water (Atlanta Mission: My Sisters’ House). Later, we had to get the breakfast sale approved by the school board (Dr. Hancock). Additionally, we needed a person to watch our group as we do the breakfast sale (Miss. Pierce). Furthermore, we needed to get some donations from our parents to fund the bake sale. Afterward, we went to Kroger and Crisco to buy drinks, cinnamon rolls, croissant, and donuts from Krispy Kreme. Following, I went to the Dollar Store to buy some foam cooler to put ice in it to keep the drinks cold. As I walk into the building I meet with my group members, upcoming we moved

Unit 16 – P1: Cold water: Indirect cold water: This type of water system comes through the house through the rising main. Then the water gets separated up to a 24 hour storage cylinder, from here is where the water gets sent back down to all of the appliances that require it apart from the kitchen sink. This is because the kitchen sink is fed water by a direct water source due to it being used for food prep. An advantage of using indirect cold water is if the main supply gets cut off you still have the 24 hour storage cylinder to supply your water until it gets fixed. But a disadvantage is that it is more expensive to install and requires a lot more Direct cold water:…

We discussed breaking bad news to parents in our feedback session where we talked about how important it is for doctors to be able to break bad news, and that it is a vital skill to have. In my opinion, the conversation with the parents will be to say that there is little hope for survival and no hope for survival without serious handicap in this child as I’ve highlighted above, and that the resuscitation should be abandoned. The process of therapeutic hypothermia involves the baby being cooled to a temperature between 33 to 34°C, from 6 hours and continued until 72 hours after birth. Our group project was about school discipline when dealing with special needs children. One thing I wish we focused on more was alternative methods and what the school can do. When I tried to present the idea to my group, a lot of the times my ideas were pushed aside. I believe there are so many alternative methods that have proven to work effectively at not only the elementary education level, where most people seem to pay the most attention, but also the high school level. I believe schools are doing a pretty good job at coming up with alternative forms of punishment to help a child with special needs, but they have to know what the child needs.…
