I am against the idea of workplaces allowing employees to bring their dogs to work. While the idea itself is great and it could help improve the mindset of employees, there are also reasons they could be a hinderance to employees. Such as allergies, health issues or a fear of dogs, unpredictable behavior of even the most well-behaved canines and their constant need for attention while at work. First off, while having an adorable dog interact with employees can help reduce stress and anxiety in some cases it tends to benefit some rather than all. Some people have mild to severe allergies to dogs and they'd prefer to have a work environment free of things that put them at risk to health complications. There could be a possibility of only allowing hypo-allergenic dogs if there happen to be some employees who are allergic, or only allowing certain facilities to keep dogs if no one is allergic. Even then it seems a bit impractical to have to monitor that sort of activity for a workplace. Aside from allergies, certain diseases can be transferred from canine to …show more content…
Once again putting employees who have had bad encounters with dogs at risk. I haven't personally had a dog in the workplace but I'm uneasy around larger dogs, especially ones who are heavy enough to knock people down, so I'd most likely leave a workplace who allowed dogs. Although having dogs could possibly increase productivity, they'd be too much of a distraction if they started to bark, nip and jump on people while working. Not to mention a chance of destroying company property and documents if they're a younger dog that tends to chew up objects. Pet owners having senior animals could be considered but I don't believe it's the company's job to make sure you have the time to care for your pets and if that hinders your productivity, I'd consider options such as pet

I think that dogs should get to stay with their owner. Dogs get adjusted to the humans they are with every day. As the author stated in the passage “Together Jose and Zenit formed an elite team.” Zenit will only listen to Jose and their other team mates if there were any other team mates. Dogs can lower your risk of getting allergies. In one study a pediatrician at the University of Wisconsin analyzed blood from newly born babies’ and then one year later. He found that if the baby lived in a house with a dog, they were twenty-four percent less likely to have pet allergies, their chances decreased of getting an allergy skin condition called eczema, and they had higher levels of certain chemicals that show signs of a stronger immune system (Davis). Similarly, another study showed that it a family had two pets; there was a seventy percent reduction in sensitivity to all allergens (Coren 221). Pets, specifically dogs, lower a person’s chance of getting allergies because exposure to endotoxins found in their spit at a young age causes someone’s immune system to have a lower chance of reacting to certain allergens (Coren 222).…
