Hypnosis normally involves two people. It can involve somebody considered the hypnotist, and a subject. The hypnotist will tell you to become really relaxed, along with other things that you are feeling, and within 5 minutes you will be in a hypnosis state if you cooperate. Not all people can get be hypnotized though. Some people can in a slight hypnosis state, while others can fall into a highly hypnotized state. In a slight hypnosis state, you are really just relaxed and not focused or have a split consciousness, and don’t necessarily need a hypnotist. You could not be focused on anything, but completely be in control of something. When you are in a high hypnotic state, you have normally have participated in something with a hypnotist and trust him enough to let it happen. In Europe, you can get a surgery performed while you are hypnotized. Most people cannot get that deeply hypnotized that you will not feel pain though. For most patients, it is a combination of anesthesia and hypnosis. Patients that used hypnosis recovered faster than patents that did not use hypnosis. This cuts down on the medications needed so therefore it actually hurts the pharmaceutical industry. Even though it hurts the pharmaceutical industry, I am for it. If it helps people recover sooner, it would be worth it. It would be beneficial for people to learn about hypnosis because of what it is actually doing to you. When you are under hypnosis, you are just in a different consciousness. Nothing is happening to you. You are also getting some good rest. When you are hypnotized for a certain period, it is equivalent to a longer amount of sleep. So technically it could probably used to treat sleep disorders. Hypnosis could potentially be the future of treatments. Between treating sleep deprived people to helping people threw surgery, hypnosis could potentially help people in a lot of
