Hypertrophy means that the muscles size will increase. Hypertrophy happens when the amount contractile proteins (Actin & Myosin) increase inside the muscle cells so the way in which the can contract is far greater.the amount of fibres in the muscles remain the same mount. Statistically males have a greater chance in muscle bulk due to higher levels of the hormone testosterone.
As it relates to skeletal muscle, hyperplasia defines muscle growth due to an increase in the quantity of muscle fibresthe human skeletal system even goes under hypertrophy getting bigger and gaining in size if put into a demanding training regime. But is this whole-muscle hypertrophy the result of fibre hypertrophy or fibre hyperplasia
