Stress has been proven to rise one's blood pressure levels, but specifically in the Hispanic population. The Hispanic community naturally has more stress put on them, because they sometimes need to learn the language or they just want to make that they did not waste their time becoming citizens of a whole new country. It is also harder for them to find a job, because although the United States has come very far in terms of discrimination there are still superiors that discriminate against Non-Caucasian Americans. Sometimes the stressed out Hispanic citizen will ignore the fact that he or she needs to make a doctor’s appointment and will continue to live their day to day life disregarding the importance of their mental and physical health. In doing so they are not only harming themes but also those around them. I expect those near and dear to that citizen to love and care for them and not going to the doctor, even for a yearly check up, is putting them at risk because they will not know if something is wrong with them until there is an actual problem and that is not
