The figurative language helps us feel like a song could do anything and everything. The imagery makes us realize that the holy ghost could go through you. The hyperbole helps us know that even though a heart doesn’t burn it could still feel like it is. The song could make us feel like anything could make us feel happy, peaceful, and nice inside. The beat is really good and the rhymes help move the words along. The listener can have there own ideas about the song.

Wharton establishes patterns of imagery by using figurative language — language meant to be taken figuratively as well as literally. In Ethan Frome, Wharton's descriptive imagery is one of the most important features of her simple and efficient prose style. Her descriptions serve a definite stylistic and structural purpose. Sound of Madness by Shinedown I interpret the song to be an angry rant at the world, and the people that live in it. People who complain about their lives or anything else are all under fire from the lyrics. The beat is very heavy in the background making you get this feeling of contentious problems with a certain idea or problem. The dynamics of the sound don’t change a whole lot, but it starts out at a loud volume and pretty much stay there the entire song emphasizing the anger that the artist is trying to portray. The rhythm of the song repeats the drum beats on the down beats and the guitar on the upbeats gives this song a very head bobbing feel to it.…

This is especially important when it comes to writing a song, because it gives meaning to the words. This is Gospel contains many literary devices. Almost the whole song can be viewed allegorically, with both a literal and figurative meaning. Figurative language is evident in lines three and four, as it states “assembling their philosophies” and “pieces of broken memories.” One does not literally assemble a philosophy or have pieces of a broken memory, but this figurative language makes us think about what the character is going through.…

The only rhythmic quality is that refrain, but there is a unique poetic style to it in the way language is used. The grammar isn’t formal, it’s more conversational, in lines like, “you a wonder, you a city.” A clear image is still achieved in those lines, as well as in, “you got a geography / of your own.” The strong points are the unique, informal way of speaking, and the vivid description…

The song is based on the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus. I believe that this lesson was suppose to show how Jesus went around to the poorest of people and taught his word. Although the music seems rather sad, the scripture reassured the audience that it was not just a time of death. It showed the length that Jesus went to spread his word. This to me was one of the most dramatic…

I love the song a lot I keep listening to it over and over deciding what I feel about it. I was thinking that I could have a play going on in my mind while I heard it would be easier to translate those images into words. The song was created especially for the movie “the hobbit” that was mostly about a war. So this great idea came to mind, if I used the ongoing theme of war. But give the meaning of the words a twist it would be amazing.…

When I was just a toddler, I would try to climb in the dishwasher and take everything out while mom was trying to do the dishes. In order to keep me from doing that, dad needed to play video games as long as they entranced me. One of the games he played was The Legend of Zelda. Growing up with this game and spending time with my dad while he played it fueled the love I developed for this game and it’s music. Kindred Spirits, composed by Brian Balmages, was chosen as our second piece for CMEA because of its beauty and the contrast it offers to itself and the set as a whole. The other two pieces are intricate but don’t offer the same contrast or meaning that Kindred Spirits does. Kindred Spirits is the most contrasting piece we have in our CMEA set. Kindred Spirits is unlike any other musical piece. It was written for a memorial concert for the death of two boys, but it was also written for their older brother, who killed them.…

I have chosen Question One: Emile Bronte’s Wuthering Heights discuss how an attention to figurative language can help in an analysis of literary texts as I enjoyed reading the text and the many qualities that made it such an enjoyable read. When we read something we usually take it as it is but that is exactly what figurative language is not. When we read certain expressions or words with a different meaning it is known as figurative language which is different from literal interpretation. Figurative language goes beyond the meanings of the words that we read which give us, the readers a greater insight into the piece. There are many types of figurative language such as symbolism, metaphors and similes which are all seen in Emily Bronte's 'Wuthering…
