Hygienist Observation

The hygienist that I got to observe was very helpful and informal. There office was very updated. They had digital x-rays, computer charting and files, the only down fall was they still had the medical history on a paper chart in the office. Every unit had an x-ray unit provided in their room. They had one PAN machine shared between everyone in the office. The office had three dentists, and every dentist had 3 rooms for themselves and 8 hygienists in the office. Throughout my observation hours here I noticed the office had very good infections control protocols. Everything was covered during each cleaning and tear down and wiped down after every cleaning.
