The Hydrogen Bomb (aka “Hell Bomb”) was first created and tested by America in 1950. Three years later the soviet union constructed and tested the Hydrogen Bomb as well. Now both America and the soviet union both were in possession of super bombs. Most of America was afraid of going into nuclear war with the soviet union for the first time in history. The Hydrogen bomb is ten times more powerful than the atomic bomb dropped on japan during world war 2. “Mike” vaporized an entire island in the Pacific Marshall Islands. The construction of this bomb was one of the most important events in 1950 because it showed the world our superpower.

1951- Color TV introduced

The first colored TV commercial was broadcasted by CBS on June 25th, 1951. CBS
