In 1980, the number of units of electricity production of Autralia ( 100 units) was 10 units higher than that of France. Coal produced half of the electric units in Australian while both natural gas and hydro power accounted for 20 per cent accordingly of total production. Oil only generated 10 per cent of electricity in Australia, however it produced around 22 per cent production in France, equalling to the total units of electricity manufactured by nuclear power and hydro power. As can be seen clearly, the electric units by nuclear power underwent a over fourfold to 70 per cent of total figure in France. In contrast, Australia used other resources to manufature electricity except for nuclear power.
