Hydraulic Fracturing has been on the rise amongst our developed communities, but to many it might be a benefit of our advance technology while others believe that will cause more harm than benefits. In my opinion, Hydraulic Fracturing does cause environmental damage just as Don Carns states in his essay, Shale Drilling Is a Disaster Waiting to Happen. Carns describes that the drilling will cause “ruined wells, ecosystems to be destroyed, natural gas passing in the large cave system and destroyed land streams” (Carns).
