Hydration Persuasive Speech

Hydration is the most important aspect of a healthy voice. It is important to consume 8 glasses (64 ounces) of water a day. There are two kinds of hydration that singers must maintain for a healthy voice.

1.Systemic hydration, which is the internal hydration of the body that keeps the skin, eyes and all other mucosal tissue healthy and functioning optimally.

◦This comes from the fluids we consume daily from both food and liquids.

MYTH: Water must be at room temperature. If water is cold, it will make your laryngeal muscles tight.

FACT: The temperature of the water does not matter. The liquid goes down the esophagus to the back of the larynx. The intrinsic muscles of the larynx (muscles directly involved in voice production), do
