Hybridization Of Native Americans: Pros And Cons

Register to read the introduction… This idea became my main idea on proving that genetic engineering has been around for centuries and humans have always used it. I researched what crops the Native Americans engineered and incorporated that into my paper and also took note of how crops today, have no resemblance whatsoever to their ancestors. Later on, I arrived on an article written by PBS that mentioned how hybridization, a form of plant breeding and genetic engineering were the same thing. So, I started researching this and managed to find a lot of websites that stated the same thing and this soon became another major basis for my paper because hybridization is a very old practice that dates back to prehistoric times and if I could connect genetic engineering to this, then my paper would be complete. Working together with a group allowed me to think about my lens in a new way and how my lens connected with the economic perspective and the health perspective. I learned that there really aren’t any negative aspects of GMOs on the economy and that it helps developing countries and is a solution to the problem of world hunger. I also learned that people do not care about the positive aspects of GMOs on our health, but are quick to point out its negative aspects. Nevertheless, we helped each other edit our portions of the essay and worked together to make the paper seem like it was written by one individual rather than three. All our interesting perspectives on the topic led us to write an incredible paper that we believed had everything that we needed. Furthermore, this research paper was a great help in pushing my limits when conducting research and gave me the opportunity to learn more on one of the most controversial topics of society. I have always enjoyed writing essays and even though I was a bit reluctant in the beginning, this topic became very interesting to learn about and allowed my group and I to write a great paper.
