Hyatt Corporation is one of the leading hotel companies in the United States. Hyatt was founded in 1957 by Jay Pritzker and his brother Donald Pritzker, when they came from Ukraine. In 1957, Jay Pritzker bought a small motel in Los Angeles International Airport named Hyatt House. Jay Pritzker grew into a chain of six hotels. As time went by, Hyatt expanded to over 87 hotels and 16 resorts. Hyatt Corporation have over 47,000 employees. Pritzker brother’s vision was to reflect the culture of the local areas. Also, they provided numerous activities in the hotel for the guest delight.
In October 23, 1986, the Hyatt Corporation developed a new facility at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. Hyatt Regency DFW offers a balance of business and convention facilities. This hotel includes 811 rooms, 74 meeting rooms and 92,000 squares feet of ballrooms. Hyatt Regency DFW main attraction is the location. This hotel is located at Terminal D in DFW Airport, providing a full access to the restaurants, stores and the Skylink. Hyatt DFW, won several awards such as; Meetings & Conventions Magazines 2002 Gold Key Award and Gold 2006 Design Excellence Award from the America Society of Interior Design. In 2011, the hotel had a major renovation that cost over $13 million, giving the hotel a more luxurious business ambient. One of the most important changes the hotel had to overcome was the recent sale of the hotel to Fulcrum Hospitality LLC “Fulcrum” in September 3, 2014.
