1. How do the people living in the trade areas compare with Hutch’s target customer?
Hutch’s target market: Women between the age of 18-40, between Lower-middle to middle income range. Women who are looking for products to be elegant and fashionable, but not too expensive. Household incomes with low to medium income range.
City of Dalton: Large number of middle class workers. They fall within the financial class structure, that Hutch targets. The average household income is over $40,000, which allows for nonessential spending. The population is near 90,000, well above Hutch’s targeted population group. Age group 0-44 is 68.3% (men and women) of the population, with the median age of women placed at 35.

Primarily located in strip malls or strip centers. Hutch stores are primarily located next to anchor stores. If located at a mall, the venue must be positioned in the main corridor or center of the facility.

Dalton: Yes it is located within 400 miles of the distribution center. It is located in Whitfield Square shopping center, a strip center. Walmart and Kroger are anchor stores, with a wide verity of retail mix, to include restaurants, shoe store, insurance company, jewelry store and beauty salon. The location in Dalton is 2 miles from the center of down town and has good visibility from the highway.

Hinesville: Yes, it is located within 400 miles of the distribution center. It is located in Target Plaza, strip center. There are two anchor stores, Target & a grocery store. This location is in front of Target and diagonally from the grocery. The location is still under construction, which is somewhat of a concern. However, it is located at the junction of State Route 199 and U.S. Highway 82. Other retails in the center include a bookstore, a waterbed store, a shoe store, electronics retailer, video store, yogurt store and a movie
