Hurricane Sandy started its destruction in the United States of America on about October 27th and ended on November second, 2012. Hurricane Sandy caused major destruction on the Northeast coast of the USA. Many houses in New Jersey and New York. Lots of houses were leveled to the ground and owners had little to nothing left to salvage. The Jersey Shore got hit by Sandy pretty bad. Major flooding broke out all across the Jersey Shore. Many houses ended up being totally wiped out of buried under the sand. Erosion played a major part in these house’s destructions. This storm caused about seven point five million people to lose power. People everywhere from New Jersey to Canada to Pennsylvania lost power. Pennsylvania and New Jersey shattered records for power outages during this devastating hurricane. This “superstorm” ended up costing approximately $62 million dollars. If there are five family members and you think you’ll be trapped for five days five gallons of water should be available to them. Radios, batteries, and a first aid kit are handy to keep nearby as well. Extra batteries are helpful in case you lose power in a flashlight or another device.
