It was a hot and humid September evening as big black clouds started to fill the light blue sky. Everyone in Houston, Texas was getting ready for the horrific impact of hurricane harvey. My neighbors were placing sandbags in front of their wide wooden doors and boarding up their fragile glass windows. Some were evacuating but most were not. My family decided to stay in houston, not knowing what would happen to us or our home. The sky was soon filled with darkness and all too fast it began to rain. There were huge gusts of wind and loud raindrops hitting the roof. “ What is going to happen?” I said to my father. “ Now Izzy don’t be scared.
