The author doesn’t say whether he agrees with hunting or not. It depends on who you ask. Hunting is a big topic in this in today’s society and everybody has different views. As a hunter, I can see where people that don’t hunt dislike it because they think we’re only hunting for fun. What they don’t understand is that, us hunters shoot animals that are ready to harvest and we make sure they meat is taken care of. With that being said, hunting does help balance the environment. Animals are reproducing at a fast rate, granted there is disease and predators that also keep the population in balance along with hunters. But if hunted was prohibited the world would become over populated and there wouldn’t be enough food for a lot species and pretty soon you’d have an over populated area, which could cause wide spreading disease and that could wipe out a whole species, and if that happened all over the world, animals could become extinct. But some there is no call to shoot that animal. Yes, people shoot some species as a sport, but the meats never wasted and they only bag their limit. Non-hunters think that just because some people poach and make animals suffer, that that’s what all hunting is all about. You can’t stop all poachers from poaching. But when poachers are caught, the game that they illegally harvested is taken from them and donated to a soup kitchen to help feed the less fortunate.
