Humpback Whale In this paper, I will discuss a Humpback Whale biome of their choosing as an animal from that biome. I will explain how a humpback whale lives in weather and their biome. A humpback whale is one of the larger rorqual species, adults range in length from 12-16 meters 39-52 feet and weigh approximately 36,000 kilograms 79,000 pounds. The humpback has a distinctive body shape, with unusually long pectoral fins and a knobble head. There were once thought to be less than 15,000 humpback whales individuals left in the wild, with the population has been put into place the humpback whale. The humpback whales spend the summer months in the colder, polar waters and then the humpback whales migrate south in the winter to the warmer tropical water where the humpback whales live off their fat reserves until they migrate north again in the summer. There are two stocks in the North Atlantic Ocean and two in the North Pacific. There are also seven isolated stocks in the southern hemisphere.
