Like anyone else, I had many quirks. While filming I Love Lucy, Philip Morris Cigarettes sponsored the show. I didn’t smoke Philip Morris Cigarettes, so I put my Chesterfield cigarettes in a Philip Morris Package (9)! I also was extremely afraid of birds, due to the fact that one flew into our house the day my father died (6). I refused pictures of birds anywhere I stayed, in a hotel or my home. My many quirks and sense of humor led to the nicknames Technicolor Tessie, The First Lady of Television, The Queen of Comedy, and The Crazy Red Head.
