Dear family and friends! I want to thank you all for coming here and celebrating my beautiful mothers 50th birthday. I am happy to see all of you here today. I look around this room and I see no strangers. I see people who have been with us my whole life, and some who recently found my family and all have had a huge impact on our family. My sister said to me a couple of weeks ago: “I nominate you to do mums birthday speech.” I laughed. I figured I was chosen because I have the biggest mouth, so the job fell naturally to me.
I doubt that any of us here will ever fully appreciate how lucky we are to share our lives with you mum. There has never been a second in my existence, where you didn’t exist to and in my mind that makes me the luckiest daughter on earth. I know that with whatever happens whether it is for school, friends, life drama I will always have you by my side to help me get through the rough times. I would like to thank both my parents for raising Nikki and I the way they have. I am happy to say that you have raised us to be loving and strong.
