Humorous Wedding Speech: I Want Me To Get The Best Career

Improved Essays
You’ve probably forgotten about 7th grade by now. What you looked like, how you acted, and how you dressed is all in the past. Thanks for forgetting me, by the way. I’m you from your 7th grade year. Currently, I have the long, ash brown hair you’ve grown to hate. With the same chocolate brown eyes and thick-rimmed glasses, I most likely do not dress like you. I have my signature look; black skinny jeans, black band shirts, and red flannels. I joined the marching band in the summer along with Marley, Olivia, Rylee, Katelyn, and Abby. After many thoughts of quitting, I’ve realized that I love it. Even through all of the drama and difficulties, I remain a loyal clarinetist. My biggest band achievement was getting the ‘Most Improved’ award. In concert band, I …show more content…
The most important thing I want you to do is stay true to yourself. Never let anybody tell you who you can or cannot be. Don’t listen to the negativity in your life. Most importantly, never leave your family. You and I both know you’ve never been that great in school. I don’t expect you to become valedictorian or anything. I do want you to try your best in school. Get the best grades you can get and try your best. Band is the one thing I want you to put all of your effort towards. Hopefully, you will get to be drum major and section leader by the time you read this. If you still can’t play the bassoon, I will personally yell at you. Keep getting more awards in band and make me proud. Remember, winning is not everything. Maybe you could even get a job, unlike Dustin. Hopefully you have more friends than I do. Never stop talking to Ace. Ace is your best friend and you should never leave her. I also expect you to have fun. Play video games with Ace every weekend. Maybe take up art as a hobby again. Learning new instruments is something you need to do. Play saxophone, flute, trumpet, or french horn. I want you to be as happy as

I started talking to my band director about the different options I had to reach my goal. She had enough faith in me to recommend starting another instrument. Typically most clarinet players add the saxophone because of the similarities, but I was captivated by another instrument, the trumpet. In the summer of 2010 I began taking lessons on the trumpet through a private instructor and loved it. I was able to audition into the highest level jazz band that school year.…

From the start of my four year commitment to football and marching band I saw leadership all around me. My first summer of football my freshman year the seniors were prime examples of leadership. They were right there to correct form on our lifts, blocks, and set the overall example of what it meant to be a Mead football player. Later that summer I threw in marching band camp to my agenda. The drum major, my sister, lead the band with kept the entire band in order, and worked with us until our sets were flawless.…
