During the Great Strike 1913-14 & the Ludlow Massacre, I would want to be John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Although Rockefeller, Jr. was blamed for the all the problems causing the strike, he did not know in reality what was going on. He took over the company CF&I from his dad, during the strike and naively believed that everything was under control with the miners who were on strike. After the strike and the massacre, Rockefeller, Jr. had visited southern Colorado to honor the fallen miners from the Ludlow Massacre and cried over the injustice that had happened. I would want to be Rockefeller, Jr. because he showed willingness to change the miners working environment unlike his dad and the businessman, who had little interest on being fair.…

Throughout my life, I have been the victim of several burglaries. At the age of seven, someone, in broad daylight, broke into our house and shot my dad in the chin. I was displaced to my aunt's house for weeks and missed most of my 1st grade year. When I was seventeen, I walked in on my home being robbed by some local kids. They were upstairs when I came into the house and escaped through a window, but the idea that I could have come home earlier still haunts me.…

The answer is yes other notice what you are feeling. Correspondingly, In the novel “The Septembers of Shiraz” Dalia Sofer says””..... I am writing you this letter because I wanted to express to you what I could not in speech. I have a unique awareness of the happiness you brought Justin. You see, Justin and I have, by chance perhaps, a similar past. We both met someone very special in Germany that made us very happy. I too would enjoy an evening out far away from Americans, patriotic fantasy, and the military post.…

Thank you for your patience in waiting for my response. The idea of our compatibility has been something that I think we both have been curious about since we first really noticed the divide between us. I know that at that time, it took us by surprise how we let things get the way they are. We have now had some time to get used to life in the new situation. It has not been what we both expected it would be for ourselves, and each other, I would guess.…

Written Assignment Rationale I decided to focus on a 1949 play written by American playwright Arthur Miller. The story takes place in the United Stated probably in the late 1940s and is a critique of the American Dream. The main character is a salesman Willy Loman, who’s unrealistic dreams affect the whole family: wife Linda and sons Biff and Happy. Eventually Willy dies, Biff leaves the family home, and Happy states that he wants to pursue father’s dreams.…

The Trip to the Grocery Store I haven’t seen him in weeks or maybe even months, I thought as I glared across the small distance between where I was standing and my dad’s car. With my One Direction CD clutched in my hands, I started to close the distance by walking towards his car. I opened the door and slipped in, and then he started to drive to the grocery store. At the time I was under the illusion that my dad would be even slightly happy to see me, but no.…

At this moment, I experienced a very high level of happiness. I realized that I have the ability to control my happiness and push its limits further by suffering and spending long nights working hard to achieve a desired goal. In addition, I observed the fine difference between happiness and its causes. Happiness is a brief memorable moment that takes one’s breath away, but the causes lie in the thrill of effort. In other words, the more pain, and the longer the tough nights are, the more thrilling happiness…
