Humorous Wedding Speech From 'The Giver'

Good morning Community. I apologize for interrupting. I have an important announcement to make. Jonas and one of the newborns has fallen into the river. They both sadly didn’t survive. I know for everyone who new Jonas it is shocking that he drowned but the currents were just too strong today.
When he fell, the memories were released- yes, just like the incident with our last… project. You’ll have memories of things such as love, happiness, anger, etc. You will also experience pain like never before. Emotional and physical. Things such as death, and no, they didn’t have ceremonies of loss when these incidents happened. The reason is the memories you will get take place back, and back, and back. Much before any of us. Before we had communities.

Andrew’s Wedding Speech If you think about raising children as a kind of iterative-process, than the first-born, Andrew in this case, is a kind of rough draft and you work out all the kinks by the time you get to the third, Maddy. The logic is there, but the way things turned out for our family is… Well— it’s like starting an essay at 10 that’s due at midnight and still getting an “A”. My some miraculous act of God, your first draft just hits it out of the park. The same goes for Andrew.…

Every memory he has had transmitted to him he has taken something away from the memories have taught him something new whether it's negative and painful or exuberant and exciting. In the book Jonas explains how much he has learned and is beginning to understand from all of the memories. “ Although he had through the memories learned about the pain of loss and loneliness, now gained too an understanding of solitude and it’s joy”(page 151). Yesterday afternoon my friend Edgar and I have been framed for stealing from a market far from our village, The Kingdom of Evenswell. We were trying to outrun an army, they were chasing us so we can get locked up in a dungeon. The men were so angry that we did not have time to explain what really happened, we didn’t have nothing to defend ourselves and no companion to back us up from the situation, so we kept on running and running and running. Later on, we saw a village a bargaining place I assume. We hid behind the stands but there was so many of them.…
