Thank you for sparing some of your planning period to speak with me this morning; I appreciate you both sharing your professional product with my eight year old. While I do not agree that a child missing one homework assignment in the school year equates to her taking advantage of her independence nor do I perceive weakness in a child who responds to reproof with tears, I do both respect and envy the time you get to spend with my little lady. Therefore, your concerns are a top priority for my family.
Correction is most effective when given promptly; however, I will attempt to get Bailee to recall why she might have been drowsy in class around the first/second week of December and I will see if she can remember what caused her
