This song has been quintessence part of my life whenever I start a new chapter of my life for example; at age 18 I first join the army and being station in Korea. Being away from friends and family made me felt alone and afraid. Yet, the song has always found a way to help me stay optimism and confidence at mine decision that everything will be all right. Being happy with yourself and cherish of what you have, is a decision that has to be determinedly made.

The song is recognized as a wedding song in the 1970’s for example, second line of the verse “white lace and promises” meant rules were made to be broken and seemingly promises are as well. The beginning of the chorus “sharing horizons that are new to us”, there will be new and exhilarating things to transform and watch as they grow once again to be what they intended to be. In the 2nd line of the chorus the meaning of “watching the signs along the way”, being attentive and cautious not to make the similar mistakes of the previous time, however; building on what we have learned, and determined to overcome, and to be the envy at yourself being a new person. Nonetheless, the post-chorus of the song revolves around an older couple reflecting their own lives of loneliness and ironically stating that “we’ve only just begun”.

I remembered that the lyrics tried to convey to us the logic of war being inevitable and that what was once on the grounds of the battlefield will be replaced my new things. In a way I was able to interpret that as a new beginning but also a true sad part of our life. The fact that she used an inspiring tone to talk to us, she drew us in with the climax tension of the song. Even when it seemed like the song was dying out, she and the other performers managed to keep us in with the groove of the music till the song had ended…

This song is about a man who resolves to (or is trying to alter his ways) before he starts changing the world. He speaks about how certain situations he has seen has really affected him (e.g. the impoverished children in the streets) and how he desires and feels that to make a really major change, he must start with himself (the man in the mirror.) This song focuses on self-reflection and the inner struggle of one individual to become better, more upright and more moral. It brings about questions such as, “What is the individual’s responsibility to society? Can we change the world by changing ourselves?…

The most influential music in my life is the song “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw. Both my dad and I love country music, especially Tim McGraw. My dad thinks the world of my older sister and I. Like any great father, he would do absolutely anything for his girls. Whenever he hears this song on the radio, or wherever, he turns the volume up and belts out this song. This song makes me so grateful that I have such a huge blessing as my father, I don’t know what I would ever do without him.…

This is clearly meant to be an emotional influence on the audience. Lyrically, the characters are talking about hope for their future, but the audience knows better. The rhythm is telling the audience to be as happy and hopeful as Jamie and Cathy are but the underlying dread of what comes ruins this. The register of pitch in Cathy’s voice is high and Jamie’s register is low, giving vary degrees of frequency that come together to produce a beautiful melody. The main instrumental accompaniment is a piano.…

A goulash of sweet summer smells pivots through the sleek, cozy environment, and the joyous feeling of a great Georgia summer day starts spreading. While I was listening to the radio, a song came up. While looking, it felt as the trees tumbled and danced beside the highway, dancing peacefully as I turned up the volume louder. The song was very exciting, and the spirit of joy within myself increased tremendously. The song was called “Good Feeling” by Flo Rida.…

The goodness of this song is all the meaning and themes that it conveys and how we all can relate to better ourselves. We do anything for the ones we love doing right and wrong for them, which inspires a majority of us to love those closest to us even more. This song conveys how love went stale because they didn’t truly love each other. They only used you for their own benefit and to state this the lyrics uses imagery to express this meaning throughout the song.…
