Her wispy chestnut hair whipped across her face as she continued running down the vast corridor. Lorelei thought this day would never end, and she would be happy if this were the case. She wanted to keep running and running, but she ran into Adalia. If only I could have one day in this house alone, Lorelei thought, as she stood up angrily. “What is the meaning of this?” Lorelei asked impatiently. “Your parents wish to see you in the parlor, miss,” Adalia said timidly. Lorelei scowled. She knew that if both her parents wanted her, this was going to be serious. Lorelei hated the serious conversations she had with her parents. Unfortunately, being an only child, she had several of these “serious” conversations, and none of them ended well. …show more content…
