Although, technology may not necessarily kill you it can still prove to…

Reason for Referral and Background Information: Chris is being referred because Federal and State Guidelines mandate that a three-year re-evaluation be completed to determine if the student still qualifies for services, and are the services needed. Chris was initially placed October 28, 2009 as a second grader. At the end of Chris’s first year of school, at Starside Elementary in Desoto the DeSoto SIT team recommended Chris for an initial evaluation. The primary concern was low academic performance and attention level. The staccato pattern of Joe’s breathing traveled across the room to me and invaded my earl canals drilling into my brain making me even more irritated while I was trying to concentrate. Leaning my ear onto my propped up had, I tried to tap the eraser of my pencil between sentences on my desk in an attempt to drown out the atrocious noise; it was to no avail as his wheezing breaths danced across the room and continue its assault on my ears. The intense Irritation added even more stress from my everyday scholastic workload as the frustration built up and filled me until I could not hold it in any longer. I ended up yelling across the room, “ Do us all a favor and just stop breathing, Joe.” I regretted the words after they left my mouth; however, Joe was confident enough in himself that he took it in good stride and laughed it off along with the rest of the class.…

How someone's very presence could grate on my nerves like a constant hum of a lopsided metal fan was beyond me. But that's exactly what Alder Quinn's very existence was, an annoyance. No matter what was happening, you could always be assured of one thing; he was doodling absentmindedly in class instead of paying attention. How he got away with it was beyond me. This past September I was lucky enough to travel back to my old high school to observe a past teacher of mine. His name is Don Meyer. Not only is Mr. Meyer a teacher who fully understands his subjects, but the conversations he has with his students make them think critically about their lives and the world they live in. He wants to see all of his students thrive and I could tell as I watched him teach his students. Mr. Meyer works at Mountain Pointe a high school located in Ahwatukee Arizona, Right at the base of Arizona's famous South mountain.…
