Another example was that sometimes I gave my students some sentences without punctuation. I asked a few students to read slowly and explain the funny meaning (see Appendix 4: humorous examples). However, in the class with the different levels of English, some students did not understand a joke. They looked very serious and nervous. I had to prepare the lesson more carefully to find out which part I could use humor. But if the students laughed all during the lesson, they might not remember anything. At my college, students have to study for 4 hours a morning or an afternoon. If they just do the exercises or talk to the teacher in the normal way, not the humorous way, it’s so boring and tiring for them. If a teacher is good at using humorous
