Hummira Case Study

Marisol is a 31-year-old female who suffers from plaque psoriasis (L40.0). Marisol symptoms include scattered, scaly, erythematous plaques, moderate in severity, located on the scalp, trunk, and extremities, with a BSA of 10%. Marisol has been on Humira however needed to stop due to the birth of her child, along with breast-feeding. She has recently stopped breast-feeding and is flaring quite dramatically. Humira is her best treatment option at this time, and since Marisol has been on Humira prior to her pregnancy with a substantial response. Without this treatment, I fear her condition will continue to worsen causing increased pain, suffering and embarrassment. Marisol has tested negative for TB and Hepatitis B.
