When he created us, he meant for us to worship Him and show His love to those around us, but sadly we have gone away from that. We are selfish and we decided that our wants were greater than those of our creator. Humility is the quality of being humble, meaning that you do not think better of yourself than you do of others. Courage is a difficult trait for most people to possess, but it is a much needed one. In essence the Bible also supplies evidence that there is a purpose for human life. For instance in Mark 16:15, when Jesus was about to ascend back into heaven, He told his disciples to “Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”. In essence The Son of God is asking his disciples to share the story of his life and his teachings with the whole world. By giving this one task to His disciples, Jesus is also applying meaning to the disciples’ life. This task can also be attributed to me and other followers of God.…

The main purpose in life is to reproduce offspring that will carry on your history after you pass away. Reproduction occurs when a male and female get intimate with each other. The only way that could happen is if they really prefer each other. Preferences for sexual reproduction started with Darwin when he proposed “sexual selection” rather than natural selection (Buss and Barnes, 1986). This occurred when Darwin saw an evolutionary change in peacocks that was not for survival, but to attract mates for reproduction (Buss and Barnes, 1986).…

The first time I actually questioned mankind’s purpose was when I was speaking with a fellow atheist, such as myself. We were just conversing on many philosophical topics when the idea of destiny and fate came up. This soon led to us debating whether or not mankind has a greater purpose. My stance on the topic was that only a creator could give a product a purpose, and because I do not believe that there is an infinite divine substance, a purpose could not have been given for our life, which was merely the result of probability and chance (As the universe expands, odds are, at least one planet will be created with the right conditions to harbor our form of life). Rather, we can use knowledge to create our own individual purposes while still…
