Humanitarian action is a great response to help disastrous situations. It helps with the suffering a human obtains and supports them. There are four different principles in Humanitarian action: 1. Humanity 2. Impartiality 3. Interdependence 4. Neutrality. These principles help individuals who deal with armed conflicts and disasters in their areas. Humanitarian principles were introduced by the “International Red Cross and Red Crescent” (Labbes, pg. 19) and the action has helped impact the humanitarian process.

There are seven different fundamental Principles. 1. “Humanity”- gives equal aid and support and helps prevent any issue of suffering that an individual obtains. This fundamental is great to Humanitarian aid work because it gives life to people fixes their health and makes friendships and peace. 2. “Impartiality-“(IFRC) “All religions and races are equal and it does not discriminate a person. It helps attempts to calm down the suffering that individuals face.” 3. “Neutrality-“ “This principle is important in humanitarian work as it shows that all people should be together and that no one should take sides in conflicts or wars and also not to enroll in any issue that causes a dispute in any religious or racial way.”(IFRC) The last four principles are interdependence, Voluntary service, Unity, and Universality. Interdependence is how a humanitarian service worker acts in his country. A worker should show respect and dignity by following these principles. Unity is major key in humanitarian aid work. “The Red Cross and the Red Crescent” should be available to all and it must transfer its humanitarian work across its area.
