Red Cross staff and volunteers had visited on the suffered areas where approximately 16,000 people are affected by flood and then volunteers had participated in a long term recovery plan. Red Cross managed 11 emergency shelters in Cairns, Innisfail, Townsville and Tully as well as evacuation centres in 34 different areas that were badly affected by flood.
