Humane Society Strengths And Weaknesses

• http://www.humanesociety.org/ is the current main website for the American Humane Society. There are branches all over though that have their own websites that they run.

Objective:
• There are many concerns that the company is involved in currently. The main objective of the company is to prevent the cruelty of animals which may take place in a variety of manners.

Actions by Group:
• There are many actions that the group takes in order to prevent cruelty towards animals. The biggest thing that they do is shelter animals that do not have a home and seek a new home for them. They boast that 91% of the animals that were brought through their doors in 2015 have been adopted or placed in the community. They also will take care of animals if there are any problems with them. They will have images of animals that look really sad and depressed looking for a home. They will also prepare the animals to be taken home to people and this is well known. They are given vaccinations and are neutered so the next family can take the animal in easier. They allow for volunteer help as well for anyone who likes working with animals.

Strengths and Weaknesses:
• There are multiple strengths that the company has. They get lots of volunteers to help them out at their local shelters. This means that some of the work they get is free. The company has been a long time as well so experience is on their side when it comes to dealing with a variety of animals in different situations. They do have their weaknesses though. They stress the need for donations all the time. Also not every location treats the animals that are brought in the same. There are some locations that will euthanize the animals after a period of time if they are not taken in of considered suitable.
