It often involves drugs, rape, domestic violence and prostitution. These type of crimes typically involve a compliant person who agrees to be smuggled, but is instead taken into forced labor or prostitution. From here they are drugged, stripped of their former identity and told they have no other life, and no place left to go. At this point those involved in trafficking are treated as victims, not accomplices. These victims can then be kept underground and moved anywhere. These movements are difficult to track and can be going on behind the closed door of a seemingly normal establishment or home. Those responsible for the moving of victims when caught should face questioning in all involved, how they transported the victims here, and the methods of enslaving those they trafficked. They will also receive life in prison, or the death penalty. Victims of those being trafficked will be tested for rehabilitation and offered citizenship and a government program to work for minimum wage in the state they were discovered in, and stipends to go to a community college. The visa would be temporary for 3 years. They will be given a second chance, if these victims prove to be good, hardworking tax paying citizens and are able to renew their visa legitimately, they will be awarded a permanent visa.
