The use of many factual statements and statistics that are stated from other academic articles gave the writing the logos needed to convince the readers that the article is true and has evidence that gives you logical information on the topic. Because of the choice of logos to use the government documents it attracts an educated and a people with political attention. In every paragraph Ngwe and Elechi either had a statistic or a reference’s statement. For example Ngwe and Elechi reference from the UN Protocol, in Article 3A, 2000 and state “Trafficking in persons shall mean the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring, or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation”(Ngwe and Elechi et al., 2012, p. 107). These articles help readers understand what sex trafficking really is and how serious the issue is in today’s society.
