In conclusion slavery never disappeared when people are held against their will today. Human trafficking and smuggling are diverse, people chose to be smuggled while people are enslaved by force in trafficking. Often people wish to experience the American dream and that is why they pay tremendous amounts of money to be smuggled. As seen in Karla’s case she was a victim of an immoral crime, she was forced into human trafficking by a man whom she thought adored her. Although she was rescued, the emotional and physical ache is going to be with Karla endlessly. Human trafficking is the most gruesome crime and hearing victim’s stories such as Karla’s makes me feel sorrowful, there is no such thing as a time machine and she will feel this dreadful
