Human trafficking mostly referred to as modern day slavery. It is a global phenomenon that involves maintaining or obtaining the labor or services of another human through the use of force, fraud or coercion in violation of an individual's human rights. Human trafficking encompasses labor and sexual exploitation, and its victims include women, girls and not limited to young boys. Human trafficking takes place in the United Stated but one that can also take place within a country’s borders. Accurate data on the extent of trafficking in human beings does not exist. This situation is not unique to data on human trafficking, but is typical of criminal justice data in the area of serious and organized crime, which remains underreported, under-detected
