America was separated by race but ironically united in times of war such as the United States being in Vietnam. Yes it is true that it takes two or more parties to be involved for there to be a war. But what about those who want nothing to do with the war? I believe there human rights are being infringed upon. We bombed their territory causing the deaths of innocent people. Vietnam was a gruesome war that left many soldiers and civilians both physically and mentally scarred. Some are still suffering until this day. Vietnamese civilians were murdered, tortured, and raped during the time of war. These men evidentially became numb to their surroundings and lost touch with other humans. Soldiers lost lives, many committed suicide, and others overdosed on drugs. It is a tragic story that many believe occurred because America was too prideful to back down. Soldiers who experienced the war first hand, state that there was not real threat against the United States. …show more content…
Everything that I have mentioned in my paper still occurs to this day. The oppression and hatred towards other races, war, slavery, and unity of humans to bring change. Donald Trump is a prime example that racism is still alive in today’s society. He has shown hatred toward minorities including Muslims. Surprisingly just like Hitler once did, he has followers as well, willing to assault those who go against his ideas. Its 2016 and the KKK and Nazi party still exist advocating the same thoughts and moral outlook on what is the perfect “race”. Has anything really changed?
