My long-term goal has always been to develop a solid career in the private sector that provides me the opportunity to reach my full potential professionally. Therefore, I am writing to express my strong desire in the Human Resources Officer position available at BANCO POPULAR. In fact, I wrote an unpublished article about the Fair Labor Standards Act entitled “Médicos y abogados como empleados exentos”. In my last year as a law student, I had the exceptional opportunity to formally develop my negotiation skills through a mediation course. For almost two years, I worked for an associate justice of the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico. During this time, I gained extensive writing and investigative experience in a wide variety of legal matters. I spent most of the time studying the files of the cases assigned to me by the judge, preparing drafts of different courts documents, and discussing the legal issues raised in the appeals with the judge I had been working for and with my fellow lawyers. The chance to join BANCO POPULAR would be an excellent opportunity and honor. As demonstrated, I have overcome major challenges in my career path with great success. Accordingly, I consider that my strong educational and professional training combined with my drive, commitment, dedication, and work ethic make me the perfect candidate for your company. I have enclosed my resume for your review and I would appreciate the opportunity to interview for the available position. Thanks for your time and

North Shore Community College celebrated “Law Day” this year by having noted criminal defense attorney J.W. Carney as a guest speaker. He began his speech by addressing how his own Paralegal makes his job easier by keeping him organized, and having him stay on track by telling him what needs to be done. He gave the advice of “follow your dreams” to anyone starting out in the legal profession. Attorney Carney stated the reason he became a lawyer was inspiration from watching the show “The Defenders,” and from movies like, “Gideon’s Trumpet.” In the beginning of his career, he worked for five years at the public defender’s office, five years as a prosecutor and now is in private practice.…

Academic Statement The ABA-approved Paralegal Studies program enabled me to gain both academic and professional skills, from drafting documents in civil litigation matters to using trial presentation software. In the Family Law and Civil Litigation classes, I drafted several documents towards filing for divorce, temporary restraining orders, interrogatories, complaints, and responses using several case scenarios. The Paralegal Studies program focused on how technology is shaping the legal arena, from e-filing to legal research databases. For example, I had the opportunity to use the premiere software available to file a mock Chapter 7 in the Bankruptcy law class, Best Case™.…

I have always known that I wanted to serve in the justice system, but my interest in law school truly began in high school with experiences such as my involvement in Big Brothers Big Sisters. As a Big Sister, I learned that there are many children in the world that need an advocate to give them a voice within the system. My interest in a legal career was further piqued during my attendance at Sunflower Girls State where I was able to attend a real trial with the District Attorney and participate in mock trials. I am one of the providential individuals who have experienced this. I have been irrefutably certain of my passion for the field of speech-language pathology for many years, and as I find myself at the conclusion of undergraduate career, I can proudly state that my fervor has only continued to grow. While there may be many other individuals parallel to me, I wholeheartedly believe that my enthusiasm for the field, willingness to succeed, and resourceful intellect make me an unassailable candidate for a place in your Masters of Speech-Language Pathology program at Nazareth College. At present, I am completing my Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences, with a minor in Psychology, at Edinboro University.…
