Human Resources Management (HRM) effectiveness plays a critical role in employee development, contribution and attainment of organizational goals which allow organizations to succeed in today’s competitive environment. The HRM facilitates the effective use of people to achieve organizational and individual goals. The HRM consists of numerous activities which include, equal employment opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action, human resource planning, recruitment and selection, human resource development, compensation and benefits, safety and health and employee and labor relations. Effective human resources management provides a competitive advantage to organizations through pursuit of a strategic plan of competitiveness, productivity and efficiency.
Youssef (2015) noted, “An effective HRM can provide a competitive advan¬tage to organizations through the effi¬cient and effective use of the tools, data, and processes provided by HRM spe¬cialists which ultimately help the organization to be an exceptional employer that provides rewarding work to qualified and exceptional employees” (p. 3). The HRM emphasizes providing a solution of employment problems to help achieve organizational objectives and facilitate employee’s development, productivity, satisfaction and retention.
