Human Resources is a critical division of a company, which focuses on the well being of their employees. Investment in Human capital is the most effective and efficient way for organizations to achieve their strategic goals. In Romans 12:4, “For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function”, each person brings a unique insight, worldview and skill to an organization. When one or two areas of an organization are not operating as needed, this will have a domino effect on the rest of the organization. As we as individuals work together, the sum is greater than the total of the parts. The management of HR is “The process of acquiring, training, appraising, and compensating employees and of attending to their labor relations, health and safety, and fairness concerns” (Dessler, 2015, p. 4). The most important strategic role of HR is to effectively manage and utilize their employees to help the company achieve its mission, vision strategy and goals. It is important for companies to have a strong HR program in order to be prepared and equipped for innovative change in an effort to meet the objectives of the organization. Human Resource Management encompasses several areas of HR, but this paper will focus the necessity of developing strong programs within the areas of Strategic Management, Employment Law, Recruitment, Talent Management, Training and Development in order for an organization to maximize results and achieve success.…
