Organizations tend to come up with human resource policies that reflect the relationship between the employees and management. The policies created by organizations tend to match with their practices such as recruitment and selection, performance management, and training and development. With these aspects in place, organizations are usually in a position to pursue both long and short term goals. This is a clear indication that human resource is the only route organizations can get a sustainable competitive advantage. Based on these aspects, it is appropriate for organizations to come up with an effective HR office and policies which shape employees’ attitudes and behavior thereby aligning them with organization’s mission, visions and objectives …show more content…
Therefore, managerial training should not simply focus on the needs and objectives of an organization. It should instead cover other areas such as the emerging trends in the managerial field. At the same time, the HR team usually undergoes training which is aimed at equipping them with the skills they need to carry out their duties effectively. Once the HR team receives complaint from employees, they need to hire an independent person to carry out investigations. In some organizations, especially big ones, they can employ individuals whose task is to investigate employees’ complains. Once the investigation report is out, the HR team should then give the two parties involved in the dispute opportunity to explain themselves before deciding on what to do to solve the problem (Guerin et al, 2013). For an organization to perform well, it is supposed to put in practice best HR practices. These practices are simply actions aimed at methods that are likely to bring about intended results. In the HR field, there are a lot of practices. However, the best practices are: compensation and benefits, employee retention and recruitment and selection.
