By looking at this, the common thing that come to mind is the yearning to get revenge on someone after you get irritated or disturbed. After reading the whole story, Bacon ends up dying as a hero, which means that wanting revenge is something any human wanted at one point, what the reader needs to understand from this is the short term consequences of wanting to make amends are big, therefore meaning everyone can be more rational when in these types of situations.
