As the story progresses, the monster only wants to have a friend, but his looks made that very difficult for him. The reader learns that the monster grew on his own, as a baby would. Victor’s decision to use only the parts he found was not the best decision for the monster. As the story comes to an end, the monster has already murdered many people as his revenge against Victor for creating him with a “threatening” appearance. Genome sequencing allows scientists to isolate DNA and match it with different people. For example, if there’s a patient with breast cancer, scientists can follow their DNA and reveal any matches between other patients, which they can then use to say that those patients are at possible risk for the same illness (Fuscaldo). This is not necessarily the best resolution. The lives of people are drastically changed based on their lifestyle, not just on their genetic background. Obesity and diabetes are two of the many situations. Scientists say that if someone in your family has diabetes, then you are at higher risk. This is not always true. There are times where the suffering happens for a reason. A person can develop certain illnesses based on how they live their life. Heart disease and obesity can occur if a person consumes too much fast food. This is just one situation in where a person’s genetic background does not make a lasting impact on their overall health. They are suffering because of the choices they made, and must learn from the cause. Another problem is smoking and drug abuse. Those people chose to do those things in the first place, and afterwards they became addicted to the point where their overall health does not matter to
