The second is the inner cluster of cells which is a clump of approximately 10-20 cells and is known as the inner cell mass. The cells within this orb are unspecialised and will continue to proliferate in order to differentiate into the essential cells that will develop the entire …show more content…
Without stem cell research, the department of health would be quite irrelevant in the sense of stem cell and bone marrow transplants as there would be no need as no research would have been done.
The more research that is done means the more lives can be saved and also a higher profit for the department of health as these surgeries would cost approximately 50,000 to 100,000 dollars depending on the severity according to the National Bone Marrow Transplant Link.
The Department of Health aren’t the only ones that are interested in stem cell research, The Leukaemia Foundation are also very interested although the reasons of why they are interested are very similar although without much of the profit sense. If we take out the factor of organisations and companies and we only think of people in general then there are many individuals that are interested in stem cell research.
Individuals that are sick that have diseases such as heart diseases, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, brain problems etcetera. These people would need stem cell research to continue and become much more reliable in order for them to receive stem cell transplants in an attempt to cure or at least treat these severe
