Human Origins has always been a subject that I have struggled with in terms of knowing what is true and what is not true. This subject seems as though everyone knows something about it but their facts seem as though they are rumors. My views on our human origins are that of Creationism along with Evolution. I believe in a mix of the two because I think that both sides are right and wrong in many ways.

I am a devout Catholic and have gone to Catholic school up until this point in my education. Having been taught Creationism all my life, it is easy to believe that it is the only view. However in terms of my views it is not. I believe it Creationism to an extent. There is a big debate within the church is whether to read

From Lucretius, Aristotle, Leonardo da Vinci, to Darwin, Smith and Lamarck, many Philosophers, artists, and scientists have produced theories of evolution in attempts to explain the living and non-living creatures around them. ‘Charles Darwin’s grandfather, Erasmus Darwin…”a British physician and poet… proposed that life had changed over time.” “The possibility of common descent based on changes undergone by animals during development…”Evolution is a fact, the theory of evolution explains how evolution works. Although, the theories of Creationism and Darwinism will always have their separate supporters, and most will never change sides no matter what evidence comes to light. I found plenty of sources supporting evolution and its credibility. I need to work hard to find more sources to complete the claim that evolution and creationism deserve equal time in the classroom. I talk about the struggle to support creationism in my explanatory and synthesis and how a mere 13% of educators advocate for this theory in their classrooms. This number needs to change. We need more teachers advocating for evolution and creationism not one or the other.…

Since the early 5th century BC, creationism was the leading theory of life in many presocratic European and colonial nations. Today, though millions of people still believe in it, creationism has been a banned subject in public schools since the late 20th century, largely due to controversial debates such as the battle between creationism and free thought in the 1926 Scopes “Monkey Trial”, with the defendant John Thomas Scopes against the state of Tennessee. Evolution and religion were put to the ultimate test during this trial as the court was subject to realizing potential errors in the Holy Bible. In contemporary times, creationism and evolution have been combined to form a hybrid theory of life: intelligent design. Creationism, evolution,…

Modern scientific thought includes many theories pertaining to the origins of the world, especially the evolution of man. The Old Testament gives correct instruction and starts with the wonder of God’s work as it directly relates to people. I have always understood why evolution is such a controversial topic. I understand that it contradicts the accounts in the Bible and other holy texts. Since no amount of study or experiments can ever prove the existence of the soul.…

Creationism should not be taught instead of actual science, or in Public Schools. In the case that you are wondering what it even is, the following sentence is the definition of creationism:”The belief that the universe and living organisms originate from specific acts of divine creation, as in the biblical account, rather than by natural processes such as evolution.” As stated by Google. But that is what it is. A creation “science,” which does not make much sense, considering the fact that science is an intellectual understanding of practically everything, through observation and facts.…
