I believe that shared human life experience is a form of human solidarity driven by emotions. Vaughn Lewis explains to us the meaning of emotivism regarding our moral views. I think that emotivism explains the human reaction to tragedy because it shows how human are cautious of each other. Emotions can include compassion towards suffering, anger towards suffering, or even feeling strength and power when helping others who suffer. I categorize those emotions to be good emotions because they result in good outcomes. Furthermore, there are bad emotions that will conclude in bad outcomes like fear, worry, and excessive grief. For example, excessive grief can prevent you from practicing activities you enjoy, fear can prevent you from fighting your enemy, and anger can affect your judgments and you will react violently. The main argument that can be made here is that emotivism’s moral approach provides an insight for what drives people to help each other.
