In psychology, tracing development is an interesting aspect. Development psychology studies the changes that occur in human beings over the course of their lives, in a scientific manner. A study of development behaviour helps to understand the learning, thinking, language and perception. This is mainly concerned about infants which has expanded to adolescence, adult development, old age and entire life span. The changes are across range like motor development, cognitive development that includes problem solving , social personality, conceptual understanding etc. It also deals with interaction between individual behaviour and environment including the environment.

b) Motor Development: The term motor means movement. It includes walking, use of hand as tools etc. It studies the sequence of events that lead to walking etc. A predictable sequence is followed in such development. It starts with babies crude movements, palmar grasping, dexterity of finger and thumb, this system like that in walking is controlled by nervous system especially the brain.
c) Sensory Development: How does the world look like, feel like, smell or taste like is all part of sensory development. The infants behaviour to stimuli is their sensory development. The social behaviour of an individual starts at infancy with the child’s attachment to the mother as they are helpless in the beginning. As the child starts growing he detaches from the mother and starts exploring the world. So, the first is the Attachment- Detachment story. As children grow they keep meeting people and get along with others which include both positive and negative aspects of altruism and aggression.
