Who are we to play God and try to test nature and create something that is not natural to this world. One may defend human cloning and claim that in a free society it is permitted to research and pursue any belief, whether it is deemed right or wrong by other individuals. This defense would be incorrect because in a free society the people are permitted to work together democratically and create laws and policies that may forbid certain actions and research in order to improve our society and the world as a whole. In fact, there has already been a total of eight states that have completely outlawed the practice of human cloning. Lets pretend that a human clone was created and there were no defects or any errors. It was no different than any other human being. How will the fact that it is a clown affect the emotional stability of the person? The kid will live his life forever knowing that there is something that he cant control that sets him aside and makes him different. There will be a lost connection that the person will burden. Clones will also have limited freedoms when it comes to beliefs. For instance, the majority of religions will see this action as a mockery and an insult. That could also possibly domino effect into a 21st century holy war or riot at the least. Why risk something that has multiple terrible consequences for something that isn't even certain. If we do start cloning humans, how would we know if it the result wouldn't be the same for us as it was for all those dead or abnormal and fatal animals. The opportunity cost is far to great and it is clear that the cons of human cloning far out way the pros.
